Natural
The natural color of alumide is matte gray with sparkling aluminum particles. For the natural finish, we print your model, clean it up and ship it to you. This option is always the cheapest.
Dyeing
To color alumide, we submerge your model into a bath containing color pigment. This dyeing process is also referred to as pigmentation or impregnating.
Dyed alumide is available in Asphalt Black, Brick Red, Bordeaux, Rusty Orange, Sparkly Blue, Petrol Blue and Moss Green. Because the blending of aluminum particles with polyamide powder is random, no part will look exactly the same. Please note that the sparkling particles will be less visible on wireframe models.
As with most post-production processes, extra labor is required and adds 2 working days to the lead time.
