Lost Wax Casting & Printing
For Gold, Silver, Brass, Bronze, and Copper, we use Lost-Wax Printing and Casting. This means we first 3D print your model in wax and then cast it the traditional way.
Sterling Silver
- Solid Sterling Silver
- Made of 92.5% pure Silver and 7.5% of other metals
- Available in 5 different finishes
- High electrical and thermal conductivity
- Very malleable
- Mainly used for jewelry and ornamental items
- Cast from 3D printed Wax model
Gold
- 14K or 18K solid Gold
- Available in red, white and yellow Gold
- Mixed with an alloy for hardening for longer wear
- Mainly used for precious jewelry
- Cast from 3D printed Wax model
Bronze
- Alloy consisting primarily of Copper (90%)
- Affordable
- Mainly used for jewelry, miniatures, and sculptures
- Oxidates or tarnishes if not PU coated or varnished
- Cast from 3D printed Wax model
Brass
- Alloy of Copper and Zinc
- Available in 5 different finishes
- Economical replacement for precious metals
- Oxidates in a greenish way if not plated or varnished
- Mainly used for jewelry, pre-print tests, miniatures and sculptures
- Cast from 3D printed Wax model
Copper
- 100% pure Copper
- Very high thermal and electrical conductivity
- Used for connectors, statues, coins, medals
- Corrodes in a greenish way if not varnished or coated
- Cast from 3D printed Wax model
