Pricing Info

The pricing for High Detail Resin is based on:

  • Model volume: The volume of your model is used to calculate the material cost (mm³)
  • The box around your model: An imaginary box around your model determines how much space your design will take up in the printer (X * Y * Z = mm³)
  • Orientation: The way your model is positioned on the print platform will impact the support generation and therefore the price

If you order two or more copies of a model, the price automatically decreases because the preparation of multiple copies can be carried out more efficiently.

Typical Use

High-detail resin is ideal for small models that require fine details.

Technology

PolyJet prototyping technology is used to build your design with this material. Objet’s patented PolyJet inkjet technology jets photopolymer materials in ultra-thin layers onto a build tray, layer by layer until the model is completed. Each photopolymer layer is cured with UV light immediately after being jetted, producing fully cured models that can be handled and used immediately. The gel-like support material, which is specially designed to support complicated geometries, can easily be removed by hand, or by water jetting the model.

Additional Information

  • The soluble support material is printed together with the model, and is then removed from small cavities and delicate features with a water jetting process. Unlike Stereolithography materials, the removal of support on a high-detail resin model leaves no marks
  • Resins will discolor more from direct UV light than any other material. To slow down discoloration, we recommend varnishing or painting your model
  • We don’t offer post-processing on high-detail resin models. Painting is possible but leads to a possible loss of detail. In case you decide to paint your model, be aware you should first remove the (invisible) greasy layer typical for PolyJet 3D-prints

Learning about our materials is one thing, seeing and touching them another. That's why we've designed sample kits based on our Periodic Table of Materials.

Additional Materials

We want you to have access to as many 3D printing materials as possible, so you can make the best choice for your project. If you didn’t really find what you were looking for on i.materialise, you might want to take a look at Materialise OnSite. OnSite is our other online platform, mainly used by professionals who need rapid prototyping and manufacturing in an industrial environment.

This means you can additionally find these materials on OnSite:

  • Agilus Black: A material for soft, flexible prototypes that provides superior tear-resistance, elongation at break and rubber-like texture.
  • Composite Materials: A combination of VeroWhitePlus and Agilus Black with preset combinations of mechanical properties: Shore A40, Shore A50, Shore A60, Shore A70, Shore A85 or Shore A95.
