James William Kincaid III designed this cool belt buckle in gold plated brass:
The second design is created by Visa Jaamuru in natural white polyamide. It’s a phone stand for the Nokia Lumia 920: “I think it’s a stylish design coupled with added functionality. The phone can sit nicely in both portrait and landscape orientations. In portrait orientation the sound from the phone speakers is amplified by built in design. That makes it perfect for skyping, watching videos or simply browsing the internet on your Nokia Lumia 920.”

Business cards 2.0: Watch out for the 3D printed super heroes!
How many of your received business cards did you lose in your life? Too many probably. Creative agency ‘resoluut‘ came up with a solution: they replaced their 2D cards by 3D printed avatar statues: Super heroes to the rescue!
Micha Commeren: “We started creating business cards with superheroes, but we absolutely wanted to test 3D printing to stay up to date with this revolutionary technolgy. Each team member has its own personal superheroe, like the incredibles. Mine for example, is an action figure with two babies, because I’m a proud parent of two. But you can also see a space helmet; I keep the overview in the office (= earth). ”
“3Dwergen, a company specialized in 3D printed gifts, printed all the figures in multicolor. Now people are sending us pictures of the statues on the weirdest places: Mission accomplished!”

Opening a bottle has never been so cool!
Can’t find the right (fancy and shiny) bottle opener you’re looking for? Then just design one yourself and 3D print it like Andrew Martin.
Andrew sure knows how to intrigue his invitees. He created an eagle head bottle opener and 3D printed it in naturalpolished bronze. Andrew: “I’m so happy with the bronze material, it actually gleams like gold.”
Andrew was even so happy, he made a little YouTube movie about his design:

We love 3D printing because it creates a perfect environment for makers, just like Jan Dewever. He created cufflinks for his son and personalized it by adding the letters of his name. Dewever: “Since this was my first 3D printing experiment I printed them in polyamide with a blue dye finish. For me the test was so succesful that I will also have them printed in high detailed stainless steel for sure.
Don’t forget to put you’re own design in the gallery, maybe you will be the next one featured on the blog?

There are so many beautiful scaled train and tram models in our gallery that we couldn’t wait any longer to put them on the blog. Meet one of the specialists: Ed de Bruijn.
Where did you grow up?
« I grew up near and in Haarlem, the Netherlands. I had a relaxed childhood being the youngest of 5 children. In 1986 I met my wife and we got married in 1994. In 1999 we moved to Bussum, where we still live. We have two kids, Ewout (16) and Rozemarijn (12).»
What do you do in your everyday life?
« I used to be an Interim Manager, but unfortunately the crisis hit hard so I tried to find a new way of living. I’ve been building train models for many years and people were always very enthusiastic about my design skills. They asked me so many times to build them a model too, but there was a big problem: I used to build in metal (brass) and the number of hours to get the result was too big. The price of the model would become enormous so luckily I heard about 3D printing! Now I can order th
