Bangle - assembly required

Two pieces assembled to make bangle
Two pieces assembled to make bangle
  • Bangle - assembly required

Description

Two copies of this model slide together as in this movie to make a bangle. When you put the bangle on your wrist, the two pieces cannot come apart because your wrist is effectively the key piece of the puzzle.

Bangles are sized by the internal diameter which has to squeeze over your fist with the thumb and little finger pressed together, in order to get onto your wrist This version has an internal diameter of 66 millimetres which will go over a typical woman's fist. I can make other sizes to special order.

Cast silver and gold are quite soft: take care not to crush the pieces as they will deform under pressure. If not too badly bent, they can be bent back into shape with care. You can make the metal harder by heating it up and quenching it, but you need an expert to do that: if you heat the metal a bit too much, it will melt.

The pieces are available in bronze, silver or gold, in various finishes. You can have a composite one with two pieces of different metals if you want. The price quoted by i.materialise does not include shipping or VAT which will be added at checkout.
