Taking place in Las Vegas from January 6th to 9th, this year marked the second edition of the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 3D Printing Marketplace. Organized by the intrepid team at TCT Magazine + Personalize, it was i.materialise’s first time participating in the event. Just like the awe-inspiring hotels and casinos of its host city, it goes without saying that CES was an incredibly huge and impressive event with more than 150,000 visitors. (more…)

Ready, Set, GO! Slot Car Racing at Euromold 2014

The Materialise Slot Car Championship races over to Germany, a country that’s known around the world for its car manufacturing industry, for one last contest. More specifically, we went to Frankfurt for EuroMold, the world’s leading trade fair for design and application development, moldmaking and tooling. Over the course of 2014, Materialise organized a series of slot car races where participants could let their imagination run wild and 3D print their slot cars which they made with a whole range of Additive Manufacturing technologies. What better way to show visitors what’s possible with 3D Printing than racing slot cars while enjoying a beer?

Introducing Improved API Documentation

In the summer of 2011, Tinkercad, the easy-to-use, browser based 3D design tool for all, launched a one-click integration with i.materialise. We were the first online 3D printing service that could print models straight from Tinkercad. This would have never been possible without our API (Application Programming Interface). The interfaces (API) that allows your apps or websites to connect with our systems, have grown tremendously ever since, so we improved and revamped all the documentation that surrounds it. Hello Developers!
