Natural

The natural surface of polyamide (MJF) has a fine granular look and a gray color. Slight variations in color may occur throughout your model and between different models.

If you want a uniform look, we recommend the dyed finish.

Dyed

To color polyamide, we submerge your model into a bath containing color pigment. This dyeing process is also referred to as pigmentation or impregnating. This finish is available in Black.

As with most post-production processes, extra labor is required and this will add 1 working day to the lead time.

Polishing

It’s possible to polish your 3D-printed model to create smoother surfaces. To polish models, we use a mechanical smoothing process. Your model is put into a tumbler with pebbles that smooth your model while the tumbler vibrates at a high frequency.

Due to the tumbling process, the outer edges and features that will appear darker than the rest of the model. If you desire a uniform color, we recommend selecting the polishing and dyeing option below.
