After counting the votes of the jury it became clear that Danny van Ryswyk is the big winner of this year’s competition! 3D Printed Jaguar Hits the High Seas
Materialise has 3D printed a cat that is not afraid of water. Recently, a grand model of a jaguar – standing at a massive 4 meters (13.6 ft) long and 2 meters (6.5 ft) tall – went from Materialise’s Factory for 3D Printing straight to the bow of KISMET, one of the few truly bespoke luxury yachts to hit the water in 2014. Mark Bloomfield’s 3D Printed Daisy Hat Hits Runways Around the Globe
In 2012, British designer Mark Bloomfield impressed the jury during the finals of the “Hats Off to 3D Printing” design challenge at the Materialise World Conference with his innovative “Daisy Hat”. This hat beat out more than twenty other renowned competitors and has been travelling around the world being modeled at fashion shows and 3D Printing events ever since. (more…)
Negar Jazbi is the Third and Last Nominee for the i.materialise Designer of the Year Award
After revealing Adrian Gögl and Danny van Ryswyk as the first two nominees for the i.materialise Designer of the Year Award, we are excited to announce that Canadian jewelry designer Negar Jazbi will be the third and last nominee. Negar runs the Designeradesigns label where she creates and sells stunning 3D Printed jewelry. Danny van Ryswyk is the Second Nominee for the i.materialise Designer of the Year Award

What an exciting week! After an anonymous vote from all our jury members, we ended up with three designers for the 2014 i.materialise Designer of the Year Award. The first nominee we would like to introduce to you is Adrian Gögl, a young Swiss industrial designer with an innovative 3D Printing project called “Oak & Dust”.

New Trophy Revealed – Who Will Be the 2014 i.materialise Designer of the Year?
For the second year, i.materialise will hand out a Designer of the Year Award to a deserving designer from all of the outstanding and creative submissions received in 2014. Viva Las Vegas – i.materialise looks back at CES 2015
Taking place in Las Vegas from January 6th to 9th, this year marked the second edition of the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 3D Printing Marketplace. Organized by the intrepid team at TCT Magazine + Personalize, it was i.materialise’s first time participating in the event. Just like the awe-inspiring hotels and casinos of its host city, it goes without saying that CES was an incredibly huge and impressive event with more than 150,000 visitors. (more…)
