Singapore’s University NTU is organizing two international 3D printing competitions. We’re happy to offer you a 10% discount on your next purchase if you use our service to enter this competition.
WHAT
The university organizes two different 3D printing competitions, if you print your project through i.materialise, we will offer you a 10% discount on your next purchase. To make sure you get your discount, mention ‘3D printed at i.materialise in your application’.
Note that they only accept your physical prints as an entry for this competition, so make sure you print and ship your project in time!
For this competition we advise you to use materials that only take 10-15 business days to print like polyamide, rubber-like, alumide, paintable resin, transparant resin, ABS or high detail resin.
These are the two competitions you can enter:
- Singapore International Abacus 3D Printing Competition: The abacus has been around for thousands of years, and is still used as an education tool.NTU is seeking a design for an abacus meant to showcase the historical and engineering excellence of this device.
- Singapore International Fashion 3D Printing Competition: The university will be looking at the most inspiring and most well designedwater-inspired fashion pieces, taking advantage of 3D printing technology. Your piece should be ready-to-wear.
WHO
This competition is open to all designers, professional and amateur, regardless of age, gender or nationality.
Employees of Nanyang Technological University are not eligible to participate.
WHEN
This challenge runs through the 1st of December 2013.
PRIZE
For every competition there will be one winner (so two in total). That person will be walking away with $10,000 cash.
