i.materialise and Twikit Now Powering 3D Printing at Auchan
Ever dream of going into a store and customizing an item to be 3D printed? Well, now customers of Auchan’s store in Lille can go to Yoomake, an in-store kiosk, to make “mini-me” figurines, jewelry, trophies and medals to be 3D printed at i.materialise. Even people with no previous 3D printing experience can customize a design and get involved to get high-quality prints.
This was all made possible thanks to the partnership between i.materialise and Twikit, a name that will sound very familiar to our avid blog readers. Twikit and i.materialise have seamlessly integrated their solutions to make one complete software and printing solution. That makes it easier for people to automatically order customized objects, have them printed at Materialise’s Factory for 3D Printing, and then conveniently sent back to the Auchan store for the customer to pick up.
These are great gifts, either for your loved ones or as a treat for yourself. We’re looking forward to seeing the one-of-a-kind designs Auchan customers will make this year during the holiday season.
