Hi iMaterialise fans,
Slice Megaminx is a failed prototype. The puzzle looks like a regular Megaminx puzzle. However, its opposite sides are connected by gears. This way, edges and corners at opposite side stay at opposite side, and the puzzle remains point-symmetrical at all times. Alas, the parts have too much friction and the gears are not strong enough to overcome this friction. Most likely, the rotating centers push pieces outward and cause a jam.
