And the Winner of the 3D Printed Cricket Challenge is…

India’s Guruprasad Rao with his customizable 3D printed cricket helmet. The Malaysian jury based their decision on 3 parameters: Aesthetics, innovation and design for 3D printing.

At the end of 2013, we were calling out to all innovators and 3D printing enthusiasts to stretch their capabilities and try their hands on this pioneering project: Re-inventing cricket accessory design using 3D printing. The idea was to think outside of the box, from user friendly helmets and stumps to cricket balls. And not to forget that the parts should be functional to be used in a real game of cricket.
