There’s no running away from Valentine’s Day
As fans of theoatmeal.com will probably know, the worst thing about Valentine’s Day is trying to ignore it. We wish we could do you the favor of not mentioning it, but on the other hand, we would not want you to miss out on Cody Reisdorf’s design either.
Some time ago we asked you guys to show us some 3D printing love in the run up to Valentine’s Day. As announced in a previous post, from all the brooch and pendant designs we received, we selected Reisdorf’s ‘Twisted Hearts’ as the winner of our design challenge.
In the last post we were only able to show you some sketches, but now finally, we can show you what the actual winning design print looks like. ‘Twisted Hearts’ is, according to the designer, “a single wire with an interesting cross section, twisted around itself 57 times”. All of that in the shape of a heart. Obviously. And by the way, for those of you that haven’t found your loved one a gift yet, the item is on sale in our shop!
