Additional payment service for Credit Cards is available: Ogone
When you have PayPal as payment service, you are all set.
That is what we intially thought.
For most of you PayPal is perfect.
However, when you don”t have a PayPal account, there are sometimes annoying order obstructing rules in PayPal, especially with higher value orders.
This made us look for an additional payment service.
We selected Ogone, a European payment service provider with over 25.000 connected merchants.
Ogone has over 40 different international and local payment methods, of which we selected Visa and MasterCard at the moment.
American Express is still available through PayPal.
Making the choice
When checking out the items in your cart, the selection between PayPal and Ogone is done on the payment details page.
You will find there the following 2 buttons on the right of your screen:
Engineering looking payment page
When you opt to check out with Visa/MasterCard, you are being redirected to a secured payment page on the Ogone server.
The payment page does not have the look and feel of our i.materialise pages as you can see below.
The page is however perfectly capable of securely and swiftly handling your order without the need to register for a PayPal account.
After the payment, you are being redirected to our i.materialise site where you can see your order confirmation and invoice.
The only thing you have to do then is to wait impatiently for the delivery guy.
