3 New Improvements to Polyamide to Get You Inspired!
Have you already seen our World Cup-inspired soccer board game with the players 3D Printed in polyamide? If so, you probably noticed that the colors of these players were different to those we’ve offered previously. But that’s not all that’s new. Today we’re excited announce three major improvements for printing in polyamide!
Welcome Aboard, Yellow and Purple
Starting today, we’re introducing two new polyamide colors: yellow and purple. Just like the Brazilian soccer players we made, you can now 3D print your model in polyamide and have it dyed bright yellow. Is there any better color for summer?
If you’re more into mysterious and elegant color choices, we’d recommend purple. The color associated with images of royalty, magic, creativity and wisdom is perfect for adding an edgy flavor to your 3D prints.
Make It Colorful and Smooth
“Isn’t it possible to have my polyamide model dyed AND polished?” We’ve received this question often from our community. In fact, polished polyamide was previously offered only in white but, to make our 3D Printing fans happier, we’ve now made it possible to polish models in other colors! By choosing the new finishing option “Polished and Dyed,” your polyamide model can be colorful AND smooth at the same time.
Brighter Red and Blue
Our existing red and blue colors have also been revamped in time for summer. As you can see in the picture below, the new shades are much more vivid than they used to be. These iPhone cases were designed on one of the 3D apps we’re partnering with: Tinkercad. What would you design in these new brighter colors?
Say So Long to Pink
To make room for the new colors, we’ve decided to let pink go. Starting today, pink polyamide will be available only with velvet finish. Sorry to those who loved the pink polyamide, but hopefully the new colors will inspire you just as much!
How do you like the improvements to our polyamide? Your feedback truly matters to i.materialise. Leave comments below and share your thoughts with us!
