Suggestion Needed

Hi i.materialise staff! I’m very close on doing my first 3d print order, but I still have a lil doubt cause of my ignorance in materials, I have a .stl model with very precise measures, its a ps4 gamepad thumbstick (Realized together with a 3d designer.), I know that original thumbsticks are made in ABS, but I seen now that print two thumbstick with ABS its very costly (More than a entire ps4 gamepad itself.), so I’m asking myself if theres a valid substitutive/alternative material with similar hardness and resistance instead of ABS, theres cheaper materials that can be used? whats the cheapest? and what negative sides it have?

Hey Fabio,

We’d recommend you to take a look at our polyamide SLS, MJF or polypropylene offers. These are the strongest plastics we have and yet affordable ones.

Feel free to get in touch with us via this form and we will be able to revise the model and advise more.
