i.materialise doesn’t review new posts, nor takes responsibility for any content posted by the community. Any content that violates our Community Guidelines will be removed. The interpretation of our guidelines is at the discretion of our staff. If you experience bad behavior, please flag it and we’ll look into the issue. We’d like to remind you that these guidelines are not set in stone, they are merely aids to keep this a clean, respectful place for discussion. Thanks for being a part of the i.materialise community!
Keep It Organized
-
Make sure your topic matches the category you want to post in. For example, all discussions on Developers should relate to the i.materialise API. Not sure if you’re posting to the right category? Check the channel’s about section, or recently added discussions to get an idea of what subjects are appropriate. If you still don’t know where to post your topic, post it in the ‘Uncategorized’ section and we’ll categorize it for you.
-
Cross-posting is not allowed and will result in the removal of the posts. Cross-posting is defined as posting the same information in two or more locations. When posting your topic, please try to post it in the most appropriate place within the organizational structure of our forum. Identical topics posted in the same or different forums will be removed.

Signatures are a thing of the past. Each post has your profile information attached to it, which anyone can click.
No Advertising or Self-Promotion
Advertisements are not allowed. A discussion or comment that either promotes competitors of i.materialise or contains only a link to your blog, a product, or your article on another site will almost always be removed. Generally speaking, posts made specifically for the promotion of a website, product or service are considered advertising, and so are posts that unnecessarily send people to a website that you are in some way affiliated with. It does not matter if it is a commercial website, a personal website, a non-profit website etc.
Choose Your Words Wisely
Comments that contain profanity, vulgar language or inappropriate material are prohibited and will be removed. Profanity used to insult, antagonize, or inflame will always be removed. We try to maintain a friendly atmosphere whenever possible within this community. Please keep this in mind when participating.
Personal attacks, harassment and hate speech will not be tolerated. Sexist, racist, misogynist, homophobic, and broad, offensive generalizations about groups of people are simply not allowed. Comments or discussions written intentionally to provoke will also be removed.
Please refrain from inflammatory and defamatory comments as well as flaming, taunting, and general disrespect. If you don’t agree with someone, say why - respectfully. Don’t just tell them they’re wrong. Do not make uninvited remarks about typos, duplicate posts, posting styles, etc.
Respect is the name of the game. Simply treat others the way you’d like to be treated yourself.
English Only
We currently only support English-only discussions on the i.materialise forum. We require that posted content is in the English language so that it can be well received and properly monitored. Non-English comments and discussions will be removed.
