Structure and resistance

Hi I.materialise,

I m doing the following project and I do not have any idea about the structural resistance of the materials you use for 3d printing, could you confirm my sculpture wont break?
Can you also inform me about the precision of the 3d printing (0,1mm /0,2mm? who knows)

Thanks a lot for your help

Hello,

thank you for sharing your incredible design with us and for asking the relevant questions.

It seems that you would prefer plastic to print you model in. If no pressure is going to be applied on your model and it will not be used for any technical application (but rather for the exhibitions or home deco), I would recommend to selectr Mammoth Resin : https://i.materialise.com/en/3d-printing-materials/mammoth-resin The models in Mammoth resin can be painted https://i.materialise.com/en/3d-printing-materials/mammoth-resin/colors-finishes and the resut looks great.
The printing accuracy of the objects printed in Mammoth resin is ± 0.2%

The technical specifications of all materials can be found at the following page: https://i.materialise.com/en/3d-printing-materials/technical-specifications

Please take a look at the great examples of the visual objects printed and painted in Mammoth Resin in our blog article: https://i.materialise.com/blog/en/top-mammoth-resin/

The models in Mammoth Resin are printed with help of Stereolithography technology, where the additional support structures are build during 3D printing of the object to prevent the breakage of the model.

We are excited to take a look at your file and go ahead with materialisation of your project. Please feel free to share the model with us using the WeTransfer service:

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
Olha
