Description

Soma in Soma are two seven Soma puzzles, nested into each other. The outer puzzle has seven hollow Soma pieces. The inner puzzle has seven solid Soma pieces that fit into the holes of the hollow Soma pieces. Some of the beams of the hollow Soma pieces were cut, so the solid Soma pieces can slide into them. This makes it an interlocking puzzle. The puzzle is very hard to solve. George Miller solved it with Burrtools. He found that only two of the 530 841 600 assemblies can actually be taken apart. Moreover, those two assemblies are almost identical, with the inner V and inner T pieces swapped.
