Rapture Dino Cube

Description

This puzzle is a corner turning Cube which utilizes a special geometry only recently discovered. When solved, not only can the puzzle make the standard 120 degree turns, it also has a level of unbandaging which makes it possible to do 60 degree moves. Once a 60 degree turn has been started, there will now be four corners on the puzzle that can always make these turns, while the other four corners become blocked and can no longer turn. However, once the edges have restored their cubic shape, all corner turns become available again and further scrambling can be done.

This puzzle is sold as a DIY kit directly from i.materialise and as an assembled copy from me. Due to the nature of the printing and production process, the DIY kit pieces will have excess powder inside of them that must be cleaned by hand (use a small metal tool/wire and an air compressor to do this). You will also need to supply yourself eight M3 screws (20mm length), and eight M3 washers for assembly. The stickers for this puzzle are available here.

Note: Due to the nature of this puzzle, it takes quite a bit more work to clean and break in the parts compared to some of my other designs.
