Description

Rainbow Iris was a design challenge by puzzle-ring artist Yael Friedman and her husband Nir, who is an avid under-water photographer. The challenge was to make a flat iris design with linearly-moving segments that acts like the diaphragm a camera system. The puzzle has 7 identical segments and 7 mirror images. The puzzle can be taken apart by spinning, using centrifugal force.
