Loopy Twist

Description

Loopy Twist is a toroidal twisty puzzle with a very special property. It has only ONE TYPE OF PIECE! The puzzle has a total of 26 of these pieces, 13 red and 13 black. A black piece and its opposite red piece hold together with a rotation-symmetrical dovetail connection. Adjacent pairs of pieces are kept together with a ball joint. The ball joints enable each pair to spin around its central axis. Because of the dovetail connections, the top half can be rotated with respect to the bottom half.

The puzzle is scrambled by turning the top 13 pieces, and by flipping pairs by 180 degrees. The puzzle has a deck-of-cards theme, the pieces being numberes Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace.
