LMS 6 wheel CCT van body - 4mm scale

Description

LMS 6 wheel Covered Carriage Truck (motor car and parcels van) body only, requires a Midland Railway style underframe eg build one using the Cleminson system from Brassmasters. Builder will need to create a flat floor of 1mm plastic or brass, solebars and then supply running gear and buffers, these are easily obtained from Slaters, ABS Models and other suppliers. Roof will require light sanding on a very flat sheet of fine wet-n-dry paper to remove ridges. Holes are provided for door handrails. This model is based on original LMS drawings and dimensions, and enables a scale model to be made far more easily than laminating etched brass to make the characteristic deep framing. It is optimised and test printed for Gray Resin but should print well in the cheaper resin option.
