Aerofoil Section (without perforations)

by Freddie Russell-Pavier

  • Aerofoil Section (without perforations)
  • Aerofoil Section (without perforations)

Description

This is an aerofoil that can be used as both a demonstration piece for people to hold but also for scientific experimentation. The same model with the incision of perforations in the planar area can be found on this website too. This can be used to draw stall air in and thus reduce the aerodynamic footprint in the air stream and thus improve the lift to drag ratio.

(Frame not included)

(This blade element is based upon the AH 93-W-145 Aerofoil used for Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (HAWT). There are two mounting points, one on each side of the blade element.)
