This is a copy of an Oxus trumpet - one of the oldest metal trumpets ever discovered. Specifically, it is a copy of trumpet E5 described in the following paper:
For a player of conventional brass instruments, it can be hard to make a note - but when you succeed it is well worthwhile. The trumpet produces a piercingly loud and pure tone. It is exciting to think that it has scarcely been heard in 4000 years.
