i.materialise Is Looking to Expand Its Community Management Team

Tell me more about the community manager role.              

As a community manager, you’ll serve the maker community by blogging about what’s new in 3D printing and assist them with their needs. Much of your attention will be to attract media outlets and inspire those new to 3D printing to start creating.

Here are some more specifics:

  • Use the i.materialise social media platforms to interact with  customers and grow the  community
  • Write blogs for the i.materialise website
  • Spread our news to maximize exposure to new readers and web visits by reaching out to the press, blog seeding, and more
  • Represent, market and build the i.materialise brand at events
  • Develop online communication strategies to increase engagement
  • Manage online feedback and criticism with an open mind
  • Establish social media metrics to report on a monthly basis
  • Other duties as assigned

What are we looking for?

  • Skilled user of social media tools – living online is your natural environment
  • Ability to build a community, monitor discussions and follow-up trends within the community
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in a marketing or communications role utilizing social media ideal
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in English, both online and offline, required; fluent written and verbal knowledge of German and/or French is a plus.
  • Outgoing –  a strong networker who knows how to adapt in different environments
  • Flexibility is a must  – this is not a 9 to 5 position
  • Willing to travel
  • Team player

Being passionate about design and making things is necessary. We are particularly looking for candidates that are acquainted with the Maker movement and design software.

This is a full time, exempt position in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with competitive salary and benefits.  Assistance for relocation or visa sponsorship is not available.
