Hi!, I’d like to print this piece of steel to fix my acme hole punch: https://i.materialise.com/3dprint#modelId=c397b196-f6d1-43f3-868a-5c782d509650&materialId=1ff61659-a26b-4ee6-97b7-de642dfe1263&colourId=f526f45b-927f-41e9-9f55-476dce4a970e&productTemplateId=71bf88f0-705d-419e-9ec2-b75bf37f32b6&scale=1&quantity=1
I’m new to 3D printing. I want it to be totally filled so do I need to put “walls”? In such case I have (at some point) a thickness wich is 1 mm. Is it still printable?
Thanks
Walls absolutly needed?
Hello,
If you want to print this item in steel, you need to respect a wall thickness between 1 and 3mm (depending on the dimensions of your piece).
I will send you the design guide, where you can find more information : https://i.materialise.com/3d-printing-materials/steel/design-guide
If you make an order later on and if there a some desing problems, we always inform you about it.
