Steel to use for slow speed sewing machine parts

Hi
I am a leatherworker and typically use pre 1960’s sewing machines at slow speeds normally about 500 rev per min or far lower

Obviously many parts were made by foundary and are no longer available, but we can make 3D drawings of the parts typically small gears using Fusion 360

My question is what is the best metal to use to make copies of these gears and other small parts, i dont expect any parts to be heavily stressed, but wear may be a issue

Regards and thanks
Chris

Hello Chris,
Thank you for contacting us. The steel we offer is not a functional steel. We do not guarantee form or dimensional accuracy. Therefore we recommend Ti, Al or high detailed stainless steel. The design guides of those materials can be found on our website.
