Round part has different dimensions in inches versus mm?

I have a round part, when I open it in Ultimaker Cura the dimensions of the part across the circular area are the same in inches 3.25 (3.25 x 0.5 x 3.25 inches), but in mm it is 82.55 x 12.7 x 82.49 mm (82.55 mm versus 83.49 mm), why is that? Based on the mm valuses the part is not round, but is 3D printing accurate enough to even tell the difference?

Hello,

Unfortunately, we cannot advise how software that you are using works, but changing units of measurement in our 3D print lab does not change your model: https://i.materialise.com/en/3dprint

It is possible that your model is not round.

As for dimensional accuracy, it strongly depends on the selected material and technology. It does not relate to the detail of your model but to the deviation from the nominal size.

Accuracy values are clearly indicated on each material page.

Thank you, I had my 3D modeler convert the units for the part from inches to mm in SolidWorks, since those are the units i.materialize uses, and then had them export the STL file with 0.01 mm Tolerance as recommended in these forums, the 3D part is now pefectly round.
