The Mammoth Resin page says that i.Materialize will spray paint a model on one side (A-side). I am not familiar with the term A-side. What does that mean? Is anything else done to the model prior to painting it? For example, sanding it?
Painting a Mammoth Resin model
Most models have two sides. The side that will stay visible is called the A-side. If it’s a round model the complete outer wall is considered to be the A-side. If there could be any doubt about what is the A-side of the part, it’s advisable to mention this clearly in the remarks of your order.
When you choose the finish “Spray-paint A-side” there is indeed extra sandblasting foreseen on the model and this means that building layers will not be visible anymore. Kind regards Lizy
