Minimal Hex is a skeletal version of Ben Streeter’s Gemstone I. It is a minimalistic puzzle in the same vein as
,
and
. This implementation highlights this jumbling-only geometry on a Jaap’s sphere. Unlike Ben Streeter’s puzzle, this version has not hidden pieces inside, so there can be no hidden bandaging.
The puzzle is a deep-cut puzzle, a simple deep-cut puzzle to be precise (“deep-cut-that-can-be-implemented-with-male/female-dovetails-without-introducing-any-additional-bandaging”).
