Hollow and solid parts

Hi guys, i’m new in this forum, and i’m approaching my first 3D printing (I’m also approaching the 3D modelling world).
I need that some section of a my single components are hollow (they are just for connection and must be light), while other parts must be solid because they are structural and will interact with some metal screws.
How can I set this aspect in my 3D model? I’m using Autodesk Inventor to create the models.
As I said, i’m totally new on this, so any help or advice is appreciate.
