Hi yshin6,
We use Stereolithography printers to 3D print molds for copper 3D printing. I hope that answers your question!
Kind regards,
Stephanie
HI Stephanie,
Do you guys share information about the stereolithography 3D printer? Name, brand?
Thank you.
Hi Stephanie, I am thinking to print a spherical shell made of copper mesh with 10 mm OD and few microns wall thickness. Could you be able to prepare this 3D material? Cheers, Cesimiro
Note: I could wash the oxidized surface of the copper and then I will coated with graphene.
Hi Cesimiro,
Unfortunately for copper, the minimum wall thickness we can print is 0.8mm. For printing a hollow part we would require a hole as we need to remove the plaster on the inside. You can find this and other design guidelines on our website under https://i.materialise.com/en/3d-printing-materials/copper/design-guide.
Kind regards,
Stephanie
Hi yshin6,
We cannot disclose information about our printers. For copper, we use an indirect process meaning that we first print a wax model and then use this wax model to cast the part in copper. You can find the information about the technology used for copper on our website https://i.materialise.com/en/3d-printing-materials/copper#anchorTechnology3
Kind regards,
Stephanie
