Hello all. We are a dental laboratory from Croatia, Europe. We have recently purchased a 3D printing machine (Sisma) that prints both CoCr and Titanium. The problem we have with Titanium is in postproduction, when we have to separate the job from the plate. Anybody with experience in this? cutting the pins has proven to be very difficult and time consuming, not to mention going through several grinding discs for one plate. I am sure there has to be some machine/tool/something to assist with cutting the job from the pins. Would be grateful for any assistance.
Help with Titanium printing
Hi Kristijan,
Well, what can we say, metal 3D printing is tough. That’s why companies in various industries prefer to take manufacturing to Materialise.
What software do you use to generate the supports? Optimizing the supporting structures can help reduce finishing work. Take a look at Materialise e-Stage: www.materialise.com/en/software/e-stage
