Hi iMaterialise fans,
Galactic Gears is a gearing system with oddly-shaped gears. The little yellow gear is circling the little blue gear like a planetary gear. The big red gear was formed by “unrolling” the big yellow gear. The green and smaller red gear are shaped by the relative motion of the other gears. As usual, the puzzle here was the design challenge to make a gear system with these “galactic-gearing” properties. There are no known applications.
