How flexible is the polyamide material? The arms of the small bracket (attached image) need to bend up a little so that the gap increases up to 3 / 3.5 mm. Is this possible with polyamide material or is it too brittle?

Polyamide is only slightly flexible. The right option will be Rubber-like (SLS). It is a strong, highly flexible and durable material however it displays a limited level of detail, and has a sandy, granular look.
