Fill density for thick solids using SLA

Hi, I’m planning to order a grey resin SLA part and am trying to decide between hollowing out the piece vs. leaving it solid but specifying an internal fill density. Does your software automatically generate a fill structure with a controllable density for thick parts? Or does the SLA printer only print solids exactly as the file is submitted?

Thanks!

Hello,

Thanks for your question. The model is printed exactly as it is in the file. Leaving it solid but specifying an internal fill density is not possible.
Please note that building of thick parts in SLA is risky since it requires more material which affects the cost, the lead-time becomes longer, and the output is a heavy model. Thus, it is essential to hollow the model, walls can be 1-3mm thick and add release hole for the liquid to get out.

Sounds good, thanks so much!
