Can I send in an item (steel) that I would like scanned and 3D printed in aluminum? The item is about 3x4x1 inches with a lot of unfilled space in those dimensions, so as a ballpark is this more like $50 or $100 or more? I’d like to know if this is a reasonable route to go before sending in a part for reproduction. Thanks!
3D scanning and printing
Hello,
In order to print your item it is necessary to have a design in a 3D model file format. Unfortunately i.Materialise doesn’t offer 3D scanning, thus we would advise to check with other parties or have the model designed using the CAD software. You can also get in touch with one of the designers registered with us.
