Whether you are an architect, someone who wants to visualize their (future) house or interior, or you just want to have fun with 3D modeling; 3D printing from SketchUp just got a little easier. Normally, printing SketchUp models involves file conversion, scale conversion and quite a bit of checking for mysterious things like "water tightness"...but that is now a thing of the past.
The Google SketchUp 3D printing plugin is easy and convenient, saving you a lot of time 3D printing your SketchUp designs. Our plugin (wizard) lives right in SketchUp and helps you create a scale model of your design and prepare it for 3D printing.
When you use the plugin you can choose to make either your design or an architectural model.
The architectural model option lets you choose between 3 different house sizes and decide whether you want a monochrome or a full color scale model, all of them at a fixed price. It’s designed specifically for architectural models and for anything else, we’ve made the ‘Make your Design’ option. The ‘Make your Design’ option correctly sizes whatever it is you’ve made and fixes it so it can be 3D printed.
