Which Color Is Better? Cast Your Vote Now!

Here in Belgium, three major political events are fast approaching: the Regional, Federal and EU Parliamentary Elections. We all know we should take voting seriously because that’s what shapes our future. i.materialise would also like to hear your voices to decide the future of our transparent resin colors. Do you prefer the existing light color or the new brighter one? Check out the sample pictures and cast your vote now!

Models made out of transparent resin are constructed from a hardened liquid. The material is strong, hard, stiff, water resistant by nature, and of course, transparent. Models 3D Printed in transparent resin have a very smooth surface, which is produced by a varnish that is applied once the 3D Printing process is complete.

When you choose a color finish, varnish that contains a pigment is used to give the desired shade. We currently offer 7 color choices, all of which are light and soft-hued. These nearly transparent colors are produced using 3% pigment mixed into the varnish.

Here’s where we need your input: we’re considering increasing the pigment concentration from 3% to 10% in order to create brighter colors and we want to know what you think about this change. Do you want the colors to remain clear like the current options, or would you prefer vivid ones?
