And the winner of the Raspberry Pi Challenge is…

Cody Reisdorf with his design ‘Raspberries for everyone! It was hard to choose, but  most people of the jury fell in love with this cute, arty, special, uncommon Raspberry Pi case which makes the designer a perfect winner.

Cody Reisdorf: “At the outset, the intent was to mimic -as realistically as possible- raspberries piled in a roughly rectangular shape, with a cavity carved out to cradle the Raspberry Pi nicely.”

“But it quickly became apparent that Blender was not happy with the application of boolean operations on hundreds of thousands of polygons at once. So the idea was repeatedly simplified, and new approaches were explored several times until eventually this result was finally cobbled together. Extra framework was added to hold it all together.”

His design will be 3D printed in polyamide and spray painted in a beautiful Raspberry-like color. When the design is printed you will be able to buy it in our gallery.
