3D Print in Stainless Steel and Get a 10 Dollar Discount!

Benjamin Franklin once said, “There are three things extremely hard: steel, a diamond, and to know one’s self.” Well, maybe that’s true, but 3D Printing in stainless steel isn’t so hard at all! And now, we’ve made it even better for you: the base cost of stainless steel will be reduced by 10 dollars from today through July 5th! Read on for details on this limited time offer.

Models made in stainless steel are printed using stainless steel powder that is infused with bronze. Stainless steel is the lowest-priced material of all our metal options, yet it’s very strong and suitable for large objects. Another benefit of using stainless steel is the variety of finishing options. There are six finishes available: natural unpolished, old silver, wheat penny, medieval pewter, gold plated, and gold plated polished. Depending on which finishing you choose, you can easily customize the surface, color and texture of your piece to have a variety of different looks.

Pricing Info
No matter what size model you’re printing, there is a base material cost, and additional costs are applied based on the volume of your model. However, from today through July 5th, this base price will be 10 dollars less! Please note that the price is a bit different for gold plated colors. Here is the pricing breakdown:

  • Up to 5 cm³ model volume/non gold plated colors: $35 → now $25
  • Up to 5 cm³ model volume/gold plated colors: $41 → now $31
  • For every extra cm³ above 5 cm³ up to 40 cm³: $8.00
  • For every extra cm³ above 40 cm³: $7.50

Notice the rate gets better as your model gets bigger? We offer this to encourage you to print bigger models in this strong material. Also, the more material you have within the imaginary box around your model, the bigger your discount becomes for the same model volume. The pricing scheme is the maximum price you will pay for a given volume, but the best way to be sure of the actual price for your piece is to upload your 3D model to our 3D print lab here. Especially if you’re printing an item bigger than 5 cm³, the price might be better than you think!
