This nub is designed to apply even pressure on the hop up bucking and therefore is suitable for flat hop mods or the stock bucking/regular bucking. This nub is also larger in diamater than the stock one so that the play between the nub and the hole where it sits gets reduced. This specific model is also longer than the original nub which improves the stability. All in all, you should gain better grouping. Installation description: Make sure that the key shaped hole on the nub is aligned with the hole where the adjustment screw sits. Double check the orientation. While pressing down the nub, assemble the adjustment screw and give it a couple of turns. This step is important, as you could damage the nub if the screw doesn't orient inside the key shaped hole while you're tightening the screw! If you're not experiencing any hop up and you're sure that the bucking is correctly installed, then you may have installed the nub incorrectly. Please note that if you're planing to remove the "bump" from the bucking (so that the inner side of the hop up rubber becomes flat), then you may need to add a small piece of eraser or similar soft material to the tip of this nub (i.e. you extend the nub a tiny bit). This functions as a "shock absorber" each time a BB passes but also compensates for the depth of the barrel window.
