Description

North Staffordshire Railway 20 ton Goods Brake Van, diagram 20, built from 1890 onwards.

Model based on details in GF Chadwick (1993) "North Staffordshire Wagons" ISBN 1 874103 15 1, photo of no 5421 built in 1913 and Craven Bros / Stoke Works GA drawing dated 1908.

Most of these 20 ton brakevans lasted into LMS days post 1923.

Builder needs to add plastic or brass roof, 0.45mm wire for handrails and handbrake (doesn't print in Prime Gray).

Drill holes at dimples. Lamp irons could be made from FB strip, slots are provided. Floor is designed for MJT 00/EM/S4 W-iron units at 10’ 0” wheelbase. Fit oil axleboxes, round base wagon buffers (not incl).
