Even in a world where almost everything is digitally available, people will always love books. Well, now you are able to draw some attention to your bookshelf with your own unique bookends. They don't just prevent your books from falling over but they'll make them look cooler. Creating your own bookends is pretty easy. We offer you a predefined volume in which you can place whatever design you like. We'll 3D print it and turn your design into a pair of bookends. Time to start playing around and show your design skills.

1.Download the bookend design kit to get started. It contains everything you'll need.

2.Open the design kit in your CAD program

You'll see 3 parts visualized: the base plate, the bookend plate and your design space. The bookend plate and the design space are just for visualization; do not forget to delete them when you upload your design.

3.Start designing

It's time to get creative - the design space is yours! Make sure to connect your design with the base plate - these will be 3D printed as one part. It is important to stay inside the design space volume - anything that lies outside will not be 3D printed.

4.Upload your part

Are you happy with your design? Then it's time to upload it on the i.materialise website.

-      Save your design along with the base plate (connected); make sure to delete the bookend plate and the design space (transparent).
-      Come back to this page and use the upload functionality above - so we know you want a bookend.
-      Once your design is uploaded, you will see it in our workspace. If everything looks ok, you can proceed with your order.

5.Watch your mail

Our 3D printers will now start with building your unique bookend parts. Once your set of two models is finished, we'll connect it to the metal bookend and ship it to you.
