A few weeks ago, a jury selected the winners of our 'World of houses' design challenge. The winning designs just rolled out of our 3D printer.

One reaction: ‘AMAZING’ – we are happy to 3D print models which such a high quality of design. Thanks guys. It was great to hear that you all had fun designing them.

The models are printed on a Z Corporation 3D printer – which allows building unique models with nice colors and textures.

The designs were all made in Google SketchUp. The i.materialise plugin assists in creating a scale model of your design.

Take a look at the pictures of the winning designs. I definitely hope all these houses will be build for real one day :)

If you would also like to give it a try, this page will get you started.

We really enjoyed the challenge very much, so we have decided to start up another one in the summer. Keep you posted!
